FRIME TRIUMPHS IN THE “NIT DEL FOODSERVICE” OF CATALONIA WITH ITS INNOVATIVE TUNA CARPACCIO AND TUNA TARTAR.

On Thursday, July 4, the first edition of the FoodService Night was held with the presentation of the awards of this food cluster on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its creation.
The emblematic event organized by the FoodService Cluster (CFS) was held at the Institute of Ocular Microsurgery (IMO) in Sarrià-Sant Gervasi in Barcelona, bringing together 300 people from the food sector, including companies, research and innovation groups and leading public institutions, as well as companies from the entire value chain of the FoodService sector.
The gala was attended by the president of the CFS, Judith Viader, who, in reliving the 10-year history of the institution, stressed that “they have been key to promoting the competitiveness and improvement of the companies that are part of the Cluster, together with the public institutions that support us, especially ACCIÓ of the Generalitat de Catalunya. It has been 10 years in which we have not stopped growing, from 16 associates in 2014 to 115 in 2024. We are a benchmark in a sector that in Catalonia moves 24,000 million euros, which represents 9% of the Catalan GDP.”
Before starting the round table with the former presidents of the cluster, Jaume Von Arend and Raimon Bagó, Viader recalled that the awards “are a recognition of the work accomplished in relevant projects that have an impact on society and are aligned with the strategic axes of the cluster”.
Voting was carried out live by the attendees of the associated companies, to choose the winners in each of the five categories in which they could participate. In total, 32 projects were presented in this inaugural edition.
The award for Disruption in Catering was given to Frime, S.A.U. for the Carpaccio and Tuna Tartar project, suitable for raw consumption. Frime, S.A.U. is proud to have been recognized for its innovative contribution to the foodservice sector, reaffirming its commitment to quality and innovation in its products. This award underlines the company’s continuous effort to offer food solutions that not only meet the highest quality standards, but also provide a unique and differentiated experience to its consumers.
Albert Castellanos, Secretary of Enterprise and Competitiveness of the Department of Enterprise and Labor of the Generalitat de Catalunya, was in charge of the closing ceremony of the awards ceremony and the ceremony. He said that “this celebration of 10 years of the Cluster with the awards is a sign of the strategic commitment of the entity that brings value to companies that employ 45,000 people and that allows to face the challenges in a collective way to have profitable but also sustainable companies”.
