Frime is recognised as one of the best companies to work for in Spain

  • The leading company in sustainable tuna commercialization obtains the Best Place To Work certification in Spain for 2023.
  • In its first year, Frime ranks among the top 25 in Europe.
  • The workplace, the corporate social responsibility and the teamwork relationship are the aspects most highly valued by the staff.

Frime, the leading company in the commercialization of sustainable tuna, has obtained the Best Place To Work certification in Spain for 2023, positioning itself as one of the best companies to work for in Spain. The company has received this recognition, which distinguishes the company’s values and way of working, after the exhaustive analysis of the Best Places To Work consultancy firm, which certifies and recognises the leading workplaces in various countries around the world, focusing on employee satisfaction in the workplace.

In its first year of applying for the certification, Frime has achieved recognition with the company’s score being among the top 25 in Europe. The results of the Best Places To Work assessment show that employees particularly value the company’s product and process innovation, the service and customer focus, and diversity – as the company welcomes more than thirty different nationalities. They also highly value empowerment in the workplace, respect among all members of the organisation, the use of technology in human resources, the values promoted by the company, the working environment, gender equality and remuneration.

As key factors in their workplace, employees rate the following dimensions most favourably: workplace, corporate social responsibility, teamwork relationship, leadership, HR practices and benefits offered by the company. In addition, employees have rated very positively the family reconciliation, the possibility of career growth and the commitment of employees.

During the award ceremony, Pablo Múgica, Frime’s general manager, highlighted the company’s values, especially non-conformism, effort and family. “All of this is the footprint left by the company’s founders and what we try to promote every day”, said Múgica.

This recognition comes after 40 years of Frime’s presence in the market, consolidating a lineage of fishmongers, and commercializing its products in more than 30 countries all over the world. Today Frime is an innovative, sustainable and international company, European leader in the sale of yellowfin tuna in loins and portions, with MSC sustainability certification. All this with a clear mission: to develop industrial solutions of the highest quality to meet the needs of the tuna consumer. And, of course, always with the best human team, a fundamental pillar and an absolute priority for Frime.
