We attended the lunch-debate offered by the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg

Last Tuesday, May 4, Salvador Ramon Mateo, President; Pablo Múgica, General Manager; and Iván García, Quality Director, attended the lunch-debate offered by the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg, in Brussels. The debate was attended by Charlina Vitcheva, Director General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the European Commission (DG MARE), and brought together several company managers, delegates from Autonomous Communities, representatives of Spanish and European organizations and different partners of the Chamber.
The day, which revolved around the policies of the Commission in relation to its directorate and the future of fisheries, was opened by the President of the Chamber, Pablo López-Álvarez, and highlighted the vital importance that policies related to the maritime industry have had in Spanish companies over the years and the relevant contributions of former Commissioners and Directors General.
During his speech, our president highlighted some of our milestones, shared the company’s future plans and our continued commitment to R&D in the optimization of all our processes, as well as new projects that will allow FRIME to take another step in our roadmap to continue respecting the environment and marine ecosystems.
On the other hand, Vitcheva dedicated her speech to explaining the current and future situation of the fishing sector, referring to the different policies and strategies promoted by her department. Vitcheva also took the opportunity to highlight the importance of companies like FRIME, which through innovation are ultimately responsible for advancing in the construction of a more sustainable industry that ensures fishing in the future.
These types of meetings allow us to learn, move forward and share tools to, together, continue building a better world, with respect and esteem for what we do and those around us.
